Our Professional Installation Service covers the assembly of your pergola and installation of the accessories listed in your installation quote. This article explains the electrical boundaries of that service for motorized pergolas, motorized sunshades, LED lighting, heaters, speakers, and other powered accessories.
What is included?
Assembly and mounting of the pergola specified in your installation quote.
Installation of compatible accessories listed in your quote, following the applicable product instructions.
Motor connection testing where a supplied plug and suitable accessible power source are available.
Checking the operation of installed powered accessories where their supplied connections and suitable power are available.
Guidance on the product's designated wire-routing channels.
Concrete footers, deck work, packaging removal, and other additional services are included only when listed in your installation quote.
Where does the installer’s electrical responsibility end?
Our installers do not perform hardwiring or electrical work on your property. Their responsibility ends at the supplied pre-wired transformer or product connection point.
Product assembly and testing do not include creating or modifying the permanent power supply. Any work requiring changes to your property's wiring must be arranged separately with a licensed electrician.
What electrical work is excluded?
Hardwiring the pergola or accessories into your home's electrical system.
Installing, relocating, or repairing outlets.
Installing or upgrading circuits, breakers, conduit, or electrical-panel connections.
Extending, splicing, or modifying electrical wiring or supplied product cords.
Custom concealed wiring, including new wiring through walls, underground, or outside the product's intended routing.
Repairing or reconnecting existing property wiring or electrical fixtures.
Do all accessories use the pergola's power connection?
Do not assume one connection will power the pergola and every accessory. Power requirements and connection arrangements vary by model and accessory.
Motorized louvers and sunshades: confirm the required power source, supplied connections, and connection locations for the exact model.
LED lighting: confirm the supplied control and transformer arrangement for your lighting kit.
Heaters: have your electrician review each heater's power requirements and the combined load before planning outlets or circuits.
Speakers and other powered accessories: confirm their individual power and connection requirements.
Hanso Support can provide product-specific information and applicable manuals. Your electrician should use those details to assess the power supply for your full configuration.
Will the installer hide all the wires?
Product instructions identify the intended routing for supplied components. A request to conceal all wiring or change where power enters the pergola may require electrical work beyond standard installation.
Discuss your preferred layout with Hanso Support and your electrician before installation. Do not assume that custom wire routing, longer cords, or a relocated connection is included.
What should I prepare before installation?
Confirm your pergola model, planned orientation, and every accessory to be installed.
Obtain the applicable manuals and product-specific electrical details from Hanso Support.
Confirm the designated power-entry or connection locations before your electrician plans outlets or conduit.
Have a licensed electrician assess the power requirements for the pergola and all accessories together.
Coordinate electrical-work timing with the Installation Team before arranging the visit.
Ensure a working, suitable power source is accessible for testing, and tell Hanso Support beforehand if it will not be available.
Do photos or an assessment add electrical work to the service?
No. Photos, videos, and an on-site assessment help plan the installation. They do not expand the service scope or guarantee that an existing outlet will reach or support every component.
What if the installer cannot test a component?
If the required power source or connection is unavailable, operational testing may remain pending. The Installation Team will advise on next steps based on your order and site conditions.
Contact Hanso Support for product-operation questions or a suspected product issue. Electrical work on your property must be arranged separately with a licensed electrician.
