The motor-and-LED wattage ranges above are subtotals calculated from the listed motor ratings and LED loads. They are not verified maximum AC input loads, and they exclude unquantified controller consumption, power-supply losses, and startup peaks. See the separate Apex and Horizon electrical-specification articles for the size-by-size tables.
Understand supply voltage and component voltage
The incoming electrical supply feeds the supplied power system; the louver motors and LEDs listed here operate at 24 V DC. A 24 V value in the size table does not mean the pergola should be connected directly to a household 24 V source, nor should mains power be connected to its motor or LED wires.
Confirm that the available supply matches the input voltage and frequency printed on the supplied power-supply label. The workbook reports an input range of 110–240 V, but does not supply the official input nameplate or AC frequency.
Do the pergolas need separate outlets or circuits?
For both Apex and Horizon, the factory answered that separate A1/A2 outlets and separate circuits are not needed for the listed base pergola system. The response does not specify the exact plug/receptacle, all power-connection locations, or the complete AC input current.
Have your electrician verify the supplied wiring arrangement and determine the circuit and protection needed for the total connected equipment. The factory response does not approve sharing a circuit with heaters or other accessories, and does not establish that one outlet arrangement works for every installation.
Can the motor current or transformer watts be used to select a breaker?
No. The 1.8 A motor rating and size-table current values are on the 24 V DC side. They are not household AC supply currents. The factory entered “Transformer is 300 W” in response to a breaker-rating question; watts are a power value, not a breaker rating in amps.
Do not select a breaker using the DC current, the 300 W response, or the motor-and-LED subtotal alone. The electrician needs the actual AC input label, complete load information, wiring arrangement, startup behavior, and applicable installation requirements.
What needs clarification for Horizon?
The response tab reports a 300 W transformer, while the size table lists 150 in its controller/driver-watts column without stating whether it is per power supply or per complete system. The Horizon 13 × 19 motor-and-LED subtotal is 154.9125 W. Confirm the number and rating of power supplies and how the load is distributed before using those figures for planning.
Electrical planning checklist
Identify your pergola model, size, mounting type, and actual motor/power-supply configuration.
Photograph the supplied power-supply input/output labels and confirm the voltage and frequency with your electrician.
List every accessory requiring electricity. Heaters, motorized sunshades, speakers, ceiling fans, and other accessories are outside the base motor-and-LED figures above.
Obtain the confirmed AC input current, whole-system maximum load, wiring diagram, and exact plug/receptacle details.
Have the electrician confirm circuit capacity, breaker, wiring, grounding, GFCI and other required protection for the installation location.
If information is missing or the label differs from this guide, contact Hanso Support before proceeding with electrical work.
Information not yet supplied in the factory workbook
AC input current/frequency, confirmed breaker rating, exact US plug/receptacle, GFCI requirements, detailed grounding instructions, verified complete-system maximum load, component model numbers, official data sheets, wiring diagrams, nameplate photos, and US certification/listing details are not provided.
This guide covers Apex and Horizon only. The supplied workbook contains no Pro+ electrical specifications; do not apply these ratings to a Pro+ pergola or another product.
