Electrical reference for Hanso Horizon motorized pergolas, based on the factory responses supplied to Hanso. Match the model, size, and supplied equipment before using these specifications.
This reference covers the pergola louver motors and LED lighting listed in the factory response. Heaters, motorized sunshades, speakers, ceiling fans, and other accessories need their own electrical specifications.
Household supply and motor voltage are different. The motors and LEDs operate at 24 V DC through the supplied power system. Do not connect mains power directly to the motor or LED wiring. Confirm that the incoming supply matches the input label on the supplied power supply.
Electrical specifications
Specification | Factory response |
Supply input range | 110–240 V reported; confirm AC input and frequency on the supplied power-supply label |
Motor operating voltage | 24 V DC |
Rated current per motor | 1.8 A on the 24 V DC side |
Rated power per motor | 43.2 W |
Motor current protection | 2.5 A after startup; factory reports the motor stops when protection is triggered |
Momentary starting current | 5.34 A per motor, reported by the factory |
LED operating voltage | 24 V DC |
Grounding | Required by the factory |
Motor and LED loads by size
The factory lists the same specifications for freestanding and wall-mounted versions. Sizes below are in feet. The motor counts shown are the counts entered in the factory size table; confirm them against your supplied configuration.
Size (ft) | Motors | LED watts | Motor + LED watts | Current at 24 V DC |
10 × 10 | 1 | 29.025 W | 72.225 W | 3.009 A |
10 × 13 | 1 | 34.425 W | 77.625 W | 3.234 A |
13 × 13 | 2 | 58.3875 W | 144.7875 W | 6.033 A |
10 × 19 | 2 | 57.7125 W | 144.1125 W | 6.005 A |
13 × 19 | 2 | 68.5125 W | 154.9125 W | 6.455 A |
How to read this table: The combined watts equal motor quantity × 43.2 W + the listed LED watts. The DC current equals that subtotal ÷ 24 V. These values reproduce the workbook’s motor-and-LED subtotals; they are not verified complete-system maximum loads or household AC input currents. They exclude unquantified controller consumption, conversion losses, and starting-current peaks. Do not use these DC currents to select a breaker.
Power-supply rating requires confirmation
The two workbook tabs do not give a consistent Horizon power-supply rating. The Electrical Specs Request response says the transformer is 300 W. The Size Load Details tab lists 150 in its controller/driver-watts column for every Horizon size, without explaining whether that is a rating per unit or a combined system rating.
Confirm the number of power supplies, the rating of each, and their wiring arrangement from the supplied labels and official data sheets. Do not treat 150 W or 300 W as a confirmed whole-system consumption figure or breaker rating. The motor-and-LED subtotal for 13 × 19 is 154.9125 W, which also needs to be reconciled with the 150 entry.
Outlets and circuits
The factory answered that separate A1/A2 outlets and separate circuits are not needed for the listed base pergola system. This does not establish the exact number or type of power connections, or approve sharing a circuit with heaters or other accessories. Confirm the supplied wiring arrangement and total connected load with your electrician.
Information still needed before final electrical planning
The factory response does not provide the AC input current or frequency, a confirmed breaker rating, exact US plug/receptacle type, GFCI requirements, complete grounding instructions, or verified whole-system maximum load. Motor/controller model numbers, official data sheets, wiring diagrams, nameplate photos, and US certification/listing details were also not supplied in the workbook.
Have a qualified electrician confirm the outlet, circuit capacity, breaker, wiring, grounding, and required protection for the supplied equipment and installation location. Request the missing manufacturer information from Hanso Support before making a final electrical plan.
