⚙️ Overview
If your remote and controller appear functional but the LED lights remain stuck on, off, or unresponsive, the issue may be due to a wiring or controller fault.
Follow these diagnostic steps to identify and resolve the problem.
✅ 1. Check the Wiring Connections at the LED Driver / Transformer
⚠️ Always disconnect power before inspecting any wiring.
Open the control box or transformer housing.
Inspect the following:
Output wires (usually 12V or 24V low-voltage) leading to the LEDs are securely connected.
Signal wire from the remote receiver or control module is firmly attached and not corroded.
No pinched, shorted, or damaged wires are present.
Loose or damaged wires can cause the lights to stay on constantly, as the signal to power off is never received.
✅ 2. Inspect for a Stuck Relay in the Controller Module
The Pro+ LED system uses a relay module to control on/off switching.
If this relay is fused closed, the LEDs will stay powered even when the remote sends an “off” command.
🔧 Solution:
Swap the controller or relay module temporarily with another working one (if available).
If the lights shut off properly after swapping, the original controller is faulty and should be replaced.
✅ 3. Confirm the Polarity
Check that all connections maintain correct polarity:
Positive (+) and negative (–) wires must align from the controller to the LED strips or fixtures.
🔍 Note: Reversed polarity might still power the LEDs but can disrupt remote switching or dimming behavior.
✅ 4. Check for Crossed Circuits or Constant Live Power
In some cases, the LED line may be wired directly to constant power, bypassing the controller.
To test:
Use a multimeter to check voltage at the LED output terminals.
If voltage is present even when the remote is off, the circuit is wired incorrectly.
Rewire the LEDs so that power flows through the controller module instead of directly from the transformer.
⚠️ Final Notes
Always ensure connections are watertight and protected inside the junction box.
Use only Hansø-approved LED driver and controller units for compatibility with the Pro+ remote system.
