Pro+ Pergola Natural Ground / New Build Installation

How to install Hansø Pro+ Pergolas on bare soil or new construction areas using custom concrete footers for maximum stability.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

🏗️ Purpose

When installing on soil or during patio construction, individual concrete footers form the pergola’s permanent foundation.

⚙️ Footer Setup Steps

  1. Layout Marking

    • Use the pergola’s Outer-to-Outer Post dimensions to mark corners.

  2. Excavate Footers

    • Each hole: 400 × 400 × 400 mm (16″ cube).

    • For 13×19 (double bay) models: six holes total.

  3. Add Rebar Reinforcement

    • 2–3 horizontal + 2 vertical rebars (T-shape grid).

  4. Pour Concrete

    • Use 25–30 MPa (3,600–4,300 PSI) strength concrete.

    • Level surface precisely using a spirit or laser level.

  5. Cure 72 Hours before installing baseplates.

  6. Anchor Using M12 Wedge Bolts.

💡 Tip: Mark diagonal measurements on the ground before pouring — correcting later is difficult.

⚠️ Avoid

  • Pouring all four footers in one unmeasured batch.

  • Anchoring before concrete has fully cured.
