Pro+ Pergola Leveling & Alignment Guide (for Installers)

Step-by-step process for leveling and aligning Hansø Pro+ Pergola posts and beams during assembly to ensure perfect louver operation.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

📏 Why Alignment Matters

The Pro+ frame uses tight-tolerance extrusions—even a 2 mm misalignment can affect louver rotation or create water leakage.

⚙️ Leveling Procedure

  1. Dry-fit All Baseplates

    • Do not drill anchors yet.

  2. Check Diagonals

    • Measure corner-to-corner; difference ≤ 3 mm.

  3. Use Laser Level

    • Align all beam tops to same elevation line.

  4. Shim If Needed

    • Use stainless steel shims (max 3 mm per plate).

  5. Recheck Diagonal After Anchoring.

💡 Tip: Tighten anchors gradually in opposite corners to keep tension balanced.

⚙️ Beam Alignment

  • Verify beam ends flush before inserting corner connectors.

  • Use provided alignment pins—never force fit with mallet.

  • Confirm beam diagonals again after louver frame installation.

⚠️ Common Mistakes

  • Anchoring before confirming diagonal equality.

  • Mixing up drain-side beams (causes slope reversal).

  • Using wooden shims (they compress).
