🧱 Height Reference (Manual vs Motorized)
Measurement | Description | mm | in | ft |
Ground → Beam Bottom | Usable clearance beneath frame | 2330 | 91.73 | 7.64 |
Ground → Beam Top | Top of structural beam | 2503 | 98.54 | 8.21 |
Ground → Open Louvers Top | Maximum height when open | 2560 | 100.79 | 8.40 |
Motorized and manual Pro+ models share identical outer post and beam heights.
The only variance is internal motor housing (adds ≈ 50 mm / 2″ clearance on one beam).
⚙️ Planning Clearances
Keep ≥ 150 mm (6″) above louvers for free airflow.
For wall-mounted units, mount wall beam below roof gutters or flashing.
Maintain 500 mm (20″) horizontal gap from walls or fascia to avoid water splashback.
When installing lights or heaters, leave 300 mm (12″) between accessory and louver underside.
💡 Tip: Pro+ louvers tilt up to 95°, so plan clearance for full rotation.
⚠️ Height Adjustments
If installing on raised decks or platforms, deduct deck height from total louver elevation to ensure compliance with local building-height restrictions.
💧 6. Pro+ Pergola Drainage & Water Flow Guide
📂 Folder: Installation & Measurement
📝 Short Description:
Explains Hansø Pro+ Pergola’s integrated drainage system—how water travels through beams and posts and how to plan outlet direction during installation.
🌧️ Integrated System Overview
Every Pro+ Pergola uses a sealed beam gutter system that collects rainwater when louvers close.
Water runs to corner channels and exits through internal downspouts inside the posts—keeping the frame clean and watertight.
⚙️ Drain Path Layout
Louvers → Main Beam (gutter collection)
Main Beam → Corner Posts (through corner drain slots)
Posts → Ground Outlets (hidden exit holes near baseplates)
💡 Tip: You can rotate the beam orientation during assembly to choose which side drains.
🧭 Drain Direction Planning
Always slope patio surface 1–2° toward drain side.
For wall-mounted pergolas, orient drain away from the house wall.
Avoid blocking post outlet holes with sealant or deck trim pieces.
🧰 Maintenance
Remove debris from gutter channels every 3–6 months.
Flush outlets with water to confirm flow.
Re-seal silicone joints annually in heavy-rain regions.
