Overview
Hansø awnings are built to resist moderate weather but must be retracted during extreme conditions to prevent fabric damage or structural stress.
When to Retract
Condition | Recommendation |
Wind | Retract above 25 mph (Class 2 wind rating). |
Rain | Retract during heavy rain to prevent pooling. |
Snow | Retract completely — awnings are not snow-rated. |
Hail | Retract immediately to avoid puncturing the fabric. |
Why It Matters
Prevents water pooling on fabric.
Reduces strain on arms and joints.
Extends the lifespan of motor and fabric.
Optional Weather Protection
Add a Sun/Wind/Rain Sensor to automatically retract the awning when unsafe conditions are detected.
